Seven Days of Farbrengens for Chag Hageulah in London

In some communities Yud–Tes Kislev is just one day. In London, though with only a small kehilla of Anash, Yud–Tes Kislev is marked over a full week! This year London was privileged to have as a guest mashpia, Rabbi Sholom Ber Cohen, mashpia in Montreal Yeshiva.

Rabbi Cohen farbrenged a total of 7 times and also delivered two shiurim. Landing on Yud–Daled Kislev, he started off with a farbrengen for the bochurim of the Yeshiva Gedola, where he joined veteran mashpia Rabbi Mendel Gordon and Maggid Shiur Rabbi Yosef Schtracks.

Shabbos began with a shiur on a maamar at the hosting shul, Heichal Menachem, the local Anash shul. This shiur eventually went on for a few days, creating many discussions among the participants on a few chassidic concepts. Later on Friday night, a farbrengen was held at a local shul, which attracted non Chabad Yidden from the area.

Shabbos day saw a massive crowd of men, women, and children gather at Heichal Menachem for a Shabbos hachono for the upcoming chag hageulah. As mentioned, the shiur was a lively one, followed by davening and a full seudas Shabbos. Rabbi Cohen once again led the farbrengen, infusing the crowd with a real awareness for the upcoming special day.

Motzaei Shabbos, Rabbi Cohen travelled to Stamford Hill, to farbreng with Anash in Lubavitch House and Sunday evening he gave a shiur to Neshei Chabad of North West London.

Monday night was the central Yud–Tes Kislev Seuda and Farbrengen at Heichal Menachem. Almost 200 people joined from across the kehilla, at a farbrengen that lasted until 2 am. Rabbi Cohen truly inspired everyone to take on new hachlotos to learn more Chassidus than they already do. The short vorts and inspirational stories had real impacts on those who attended and truly uplifted anyone that joined.

On Yud–Tes Kislev day, Rabbi Cohen continued his marathon of farbrengens, by joining the Seuda of the Yeshiva Ketana, led by his former classmate Rabbi Moshe Zavdi and later at the Merkaz Letoras Hachasidus under the directorship of Rabbi Avremel Raskin. He also delivered a shiur on the Torah Way in Golders Green.
