Harav Shmuel Dovid Halberstam, the Sanz-Klausenburg Rebbe of Borough Park and son of the late Harav Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam zt”l, will deliver the keynote Torah address at the 45th Worldwide Siyum HaRambam at the Bedford Union Armory in Brooklyn.

His father, Harav Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam, founded the Sanz-Klausenburg dynasty and is remembered for inspiring tens of thousands of broken Jews after the Holocaust and establishing numerous institutions of Torah and chessed.

The current Sanz-Klausenburg Rebbe maintains a long-standing and warm relationship with Chabad. In 5748, following the passing of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka a”h, he visited the Rebbe, who gave a special bracha for his father, Harav Yekusiel Yehudah, who was unwell at the time. The current Sanz-Klausenburg Rebbe has spoken at previous Siyumim, inspiring participants with his passion for Torah and chassidic devotion.

Renowned for his deep connection to Rambam study, as well as his intensity, devotion, and fiery speeches, he had spoken at the very first Siyum HaRambam in 5745 (1985).

This year’s Siyum is particularly large, as multiple study cycles are concluding simultaneously, bringing tens of thousands of Torah learners together under one roof to celebrate the simcha of learning Rambam.
