A small crowd of bochurim and guests gathered at the Rebbe’s Ohel on Wednesday night for the reading of Eicha and kinus.
Leading the reading was Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach to Russia Rabbi Berel Lazar who is in New York for the wedding of his son next week.
Throughout the day of Tisha B’av, many from the Frum communities of New York visit the Ohel to fulfill what is says in Shulchan Aruch to visit a cemetery on the day. Chabad chassidim, however, generally do not visit the Ohel on Tisha B’Av, in light of a letter of the Rebbe.
