A large crowd gathered on 15 Elul in Lubavitch for the inauguration of the rebuilt Zal of the original Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva with the installation of mezuzos by Rabbi Nosson Gurary and Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan, 127 years after it was first started.

127 years after it was first started, the rebuilt Zal of the original Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Lubavitch was reinaugurated.
In honor of the 127th anniversary of the founding of the “Tomchei Temimim” Yeshiva, an event was held in Lubavitch, Russia. After forty years, shliach Rabbi Nosson Gurary, returned to Russia and was honored with affixing a mezuzah at the entrance of the renovated beis midrash in the courtyard of the Rebbeim.
The building was reconstructed according to instructions received from the Rebbe, which were passed on to Rabbi Gavriel Gordon, the shliach responsible for the sites in Lubavitch. Additionally, Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan, shliach in Moscow famous as “The Tzadik of Leningrad,” and philanthropist R’ Chaim Nissan Bayar were honored with affixing mezuzahs.
Following this, a farbrengen was held in the yeshiva’s beis midrash.
The guests also davened at the Ohel of the Tzemach Tzedek, and the Rebbe Maharash, who are buried in Lubavitch, a short walk from the yeshiva building.
