Excitement is in the air as Released Time gears up for the much-anticipated Lag B’Omer Great Parade. More than 500 children and family members from 75 public schools across New York are expected to participate and celebrate together.

On a recent delightful evening, more than 20 Released Time volunteers gathered to call parents, encouraging them to join this year’s Great Parade. Adding to the volunteers’ enthusiasm was a delicious dinner from Joseph Dream Burger, making their meeting both productive and enjoyable.

The Released Time program is thrilled to announce that they are expecting to bring more than 500 children and family members to the parade this Sunday. The public school children are buzzing with excitement, eagerly looking forward to the festivities and the chance to march together with their friends and family.

Liora, a proud Released Time mother from P.S. 222, shared her anticipation, saying, “I look forward to feeling strength and pride by uniting and marching proudly as a Jew. My children and I won’t miss this wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate our heritage.”

Fueled by a variety of tasty burgers and sides from Joseph Dream Burger, the volunteers felt an extra boost of energy as they reached out to new public school families and past alumni.

The Lag B’Omer Great Parade promises to be a memorable event, with vibrant displays, joyous music, and a strong sense of Jewish pride and unity. Knowing how much the Rebbe cared about seeing public school children at the parade, the Released Time volunteers are dedicated to making it a success, ensuring that every public school child and family has a chance to participate in this special day.

As Sunday approaches, the anticipation continues to build. With the combined efforts of the Released Time program, enthusiastic volunteers, and supportive parents, this year’s parade is set to be a remarkable celebration of Jewish pride for all the Released Time families.
