When Reb Yoel Memorized and Repeated Four Whole Farbrengens

Recently, volunteers working through the RebbeDrive archival collection came across several long-lost chazaras. Among them was this chazara from Motzei Simchas Torah and Shabbos Bereishis 5745 – with the same kvius as this year – covering four complete farbrengens.

Forty years later, the chazara by Reb Yoel Kahn of the farbrengens of Simchas Torah and Shabbos Bereishis 5745 has been digitized and made accessible to the public. This significant release, which had been missing from collections for decades, marks an exciting milestone for the organizers.

Recently, volunteers working through the RebbeDrive archival collection came across several long-lost chazaras. Among them was this chazara from Simchas Torah and Shabbos Bereishis 5745—a timely find, given its relevance to this Yom Tov season and to this year in particular, which shares the same kvius. They made it a priority to digitize and release this recording in time for yom tov, so it can be enjoyed and studied by all.

Chazara—the task of reviewing the Rebbe’s farbrengens from memory—was always a daunting challenge. Each farbrengen spanned several intense hours, with the Rebbe delving deeply into vast areas of Torah, covering complex topics, connecting ideas across disciplines, and doing so with almost no breaks.

This particular chazara was even more monumental, capturing the essence of four (!) full farbrengens, each one teeming with insights and teachings.

Included in this recording are chazaras of:
1. Leil Simchas Torah before Hakafos,
2. Leil Simchas Torah after Hakafos,
3. Simchas Torah day,
4. Shabbos Bereshis – First Farbrengen,
5. Shabbos Bereshis – Second Farbrengen, and
6. The Kinus Torah Sicha.

As part of a broader effort to make this and nearly 200 other chazaras more accessible, the recordings have recently been uploaded to YouTube and Google Drive. This ensures that these chazaras remain easily accessible for everyone.
