Reb Mottel (Mordechai Leib) Kalmanson, who for many years would organize the annual Shpoler Zaide seduah in Crown Heights and got mashke from the Rebbe for it, passed away on Shabbos, Chof Tes Adar. His Levaya will pass by 770 today on the way to kevura.

Reb Mottel Kalmanson was a true Lubavitcher chosid of the Rebbe and lived his life fulfilling the Rebbe peulos.
For many years he would organize the annual Shpoler Zaide seduah in Crown Heights and got a bottle of mashke from the Rebbe for it.
In 1976, for the Rebbe’s 74th birthday, Reb Mottel was part of a group of Chassidim that purchased the first Mitzvah Tank in Eretz Yisroel and presented the keys to the Rebbe at the Yud Alef Nissan farbrengen.
In later years, the same group purchased a new car for the Rebbe.
He was predeceased by: his father R’ Yisroel Shimon Kalmanson and mother, Chaya Sarah and sister Rochel Heber.
He is survived by his wife Leah Kalmanson, and his children Mendy Kalmanson (New Haven, CT) and Bassie Deitsch (New Haven, CT), and he is survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings: Miriam Blizinsky (Crown Heights), Sholom Ber Kalmanson (Cincinnati, OH), Baila Greenbaum (Los Angeles, CA).
The levaya will be held today, passing by 770 at 12:00 PM, with kevura taking place at 1:00 PM.
