Rabbonim Issue Call Ahead of 28 Sivan

As excitement grows for this year’s milestone 80th anniversary of 28 Sivan, when the Rebbe and Rebbetzin arrived safely on U.S. soil, starting a new era of Hafotzas Hamaayanos, leading rabbonim and mashpi’im from Anash communities worldwide have issued a call to action.

As excitement grows for this year’s milestone 80th anniversary of Chof Ches Sivan, when the Rebbe and Rebbetzin arrived safely on U.S. soil, starting a new era of Hafotzas Hamaayanos, leading rabbonim and mashpi’im from Anash communities worldwide have issued a Kol Korei – a call to action.

“As we approach the 80th anniversary of the auspicious day of Chof Ches Sivan,” the Rabbonim began, “The day that marks the miraculous salvation of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin as they arrived safely on the shores of the United States, precipitating “a new era in the dissemination of Torah, Yiddishkeit, and the wellsprings of Chassidus” with the establishment of the three central institutions of `Machne Israel,’ Kehos,’ and `Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch’,

“We, the undersigned, encourage Anash, Temimim, and N’shei U’Bnos Chabad worldwide:

– To properly ready for this great day, by studying the Rebbe’s Torah in reference to this auspicious occasion, including “Kovetz Chof Ches Sivan – Yovel Shanim,” which the Rebbe personally distributed to men, women, and children in 5751 (1991), as well as the Rebbe’s address of 28 Sivan 5751 — the study of which should be in a manner of “Study that leads to Action”, the fulfillment of the Rebbe’s directives therein;

– To keep with the widely accepted custom of farbrenging and taking positive hachlatos in spreading Yiddishkeit and the wellsprings of Chassidus. The Rebbe himself mentioned this at the farbrengen of Shabbos Parshas Shelach, 28 Sivan 5749. We therefore encourage all Anash communities to organize grand farbrengens for men, women and children;

– As the holy day of Yom Hahilula Gimmel Tammuz is fast approaching, it is an opportune time to arouse oneself and to strengthen others in our Hiskashrus to the Rebbe. We should express thanks to Hashem for saving our dear Rebbe and Rebbetzin – “Hanosi Hu Hakol (the Rebbe embodies the entire Generation)” – thereby saving all of Klal Yisroel. Just as then, so too now, the Rebbe continues to lead and bless his chassidim, mekushorim, and every single Yid wherever they may be.

All the above is in a spirit of recognizing the day’s importance as the Rebbe taught us, that this new era is the last phase in preparing the world for Moshiach!

With our prayer and plea that we immediately merit to see the Rebbe physically, and he will lead us to the complete Geulah right now, and we will celebrate Gimmel Tammuz this year together with the him, in the third Beis Hamikdosh!
