R’ Yosef Zev Reinitz, a patriarch of a large Lubavitch family, who lived in New York and later in Lod, Eretz Yisroel, passed away on Thursday, Shemini Atzeres.
R’ Yosef Zev Reinitz, a patriarch of a large Lubavitch family, who lived in New York and later in Lod, Eretz Yisroel, passed away on Thursday, Shemini Atzeres.
He was 92 years old.
He originally lived in New York and moved to the Anash community in Lod in recent years. He leaves behind a large chassidishe mishpacha with many descendants who are devoted to the Rebbe.
He is survived by his children: Shmulik (Emanuel, Eretz Yisroel), Moshe (Tzfas, Eretz Yisroel), Binyomin (Nachlas Har Chabad, Eretz Yisroel), Sara’le Kopel (Lakewood, NJ), Pnina Segal (Crown Heights), and Dovid (Crown Heights).
He was predeceased by his wife Batya in 5769 and his son Menachem Mendel on 12 Tammuz, 5784.
The funeral took place on Thursday night (after Yom Tov in Eretz Yisroel) at 12:30 AM from the Shamgar Funeral Home to Har Hazeisim.
Dovid Reinitz, Pnina Segal, and Sarale Kopel will be sitting shiva in Lakewood.
