Rabbi Yisroel Polter, 82, A”H

Rabbi Yisroel Polter, a member of the Chabad community in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on Monday, 8 Shvat, 5780.

Rabbi Polter lived in Detroit for many years and was a beloved member of the community.

A loving father and grandfather, he was known for his friendly demeanor and sense of humor.

He often served as the shliach tzibur who warmed people’s hearts with his beautiful davening.

He is survived by his children, Dovid Aaron Polter – Crown Heights, Shainy Weingarten – Flint, MI, Tzvi Sharage Polter – Crown Heights, Leah Polter – Oak Park, MI, Yossi Polter – Oak Park, MI, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of whom are Shluchim around the world.

He was predeceased by his wife Mrs. Freida Polter on 28 Av, 5767.
