Rabbi Rachamim Rafael Tsikvashvili, a leader of the Georgian community in Eretz Yisroel and a founder of the ‘Yesichena’ organization to help Mesivta bochurim’s emotional development, passed away on Sunday, 25 Tishrei.
Rabbi Rachamim Rafael Tsikvashvili, a leader of the Georgian community in Eretz Yisroel and a founder of the ‘Yesichena’ organization to help Mesivta bochurim’s emotional development, passed away on Sunday, 25 Tishrei.
He was 58 years old.
Rabbi Tsikvashvili headed the Beis Medrash Chachmei VeRabonei Georgia in Yerushalayim, and, following his father’s tradition, he would lead a central Yud Tes Kislev celebration each year for Georgian expatriates.
He is survived by his wife, Bat Tzion, and his children: R’ Yisroel Shimshon (Kiryas Shmuel), R’ Yaakov Yosef (Beitar Illit), Mrs. Chaya Mushka Tsikvashvili (Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala), Mrs. Chana (Rosh Ha’ayin), Mrs. Malka (Yerushalayim), and Mrs. Tziporah (Yitzhar).
