Rabbi Menashe Chadad, who served as the menahel of Talmud Torah Chabad in Lod, and Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Lod and Kfar Chabad, passed away on Shabbos, 15 Iyar.

Rabbi Menashe Chadad, who served as the menahel of Talmud Torah Chabad in Lod, and Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Lod and Kfar Chabad, passed away on Shabbos, 15 Iyar, 5783.
He was 72 years old.
Menashe was born in Elul, 5710 in Tunisia and when he was 8 years old his family emigrated to Eretz Yisroel.
When he was 13 years old, he began writing to the Rebbe and received many unique letters and ma’anos, with the Rebbe guiding him from a young age and through every significant stage in his life.
In 5730, he traveled to New York to spend a year studying by the Rebbe in the Central Chabad Yeshiva as part of ‘kvutzah’. Upon his return to Eretz Yisroel, he was introduced to Chaviva Amitai and they married shortly afterwards.
In 5732, he began working as a melamed in Talmud Torah Chabad of Lod, and two years later he was appointed as the menahel of the Talmud Torah by renowned askan Rabbi Efraim Wolf. With his appointment, he also began getting involved in askanus, managing Chabad activities and serving in central Chabad institutions.
From 5755 Rabbi Chadad began serving as a member of the hanhala in Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim of Lod and Kfar Chabad, and in 5761, following the passing of R’ Berke Wolf, he was appointed as the head menahel.
As the director of the yeshiva, he managed the yeshiva’s finances, and helped bring fresh blood to help in the management of the yeshiva.
In recent years, he suffered from an illness, and on Shabbos, he passed away.
During his levaya, which took place on Motzei Shabbos, Harav Meir Ashkenazi, mara d’asra of Kfar Chabad. announced that Rabbi Chadad’s son, Rabbi Sholom Ber Chadad, who served as his fathers’ assistant, will be filling his position as the yeshiva’s menahel.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Chaviva Chadad, and their children, Rabbi Avraham Chadad – Tzfas; Rabbi Levi Chadad – Crown Heights; Rabbi Dovid Chadad – Bangkok, Thailand; Rabbi Moshe Chadad – Bangkok, Thailand; Rabbi Shmuel Chadad – Ashkelon; Rabbi Sholom Ber Chadad – Kfar Chabad; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Chadad – Kfar Chabad; Rabbi Yisroel Chadad – Nachalas Har Chabad; Mrs. Chana Aryeh – Beit Shemesh; Mrs. Devorah Leah Zana – Paris, France; Mrs. Rivkah Aharon – Tel Aviv; Mrs. Esther Chadad – Rishon Letzion; Mrs. Chaya Mushka Yifrach – Kfar Chabad.
