Rabbi Yisrael Deren, regional director of Chabad of Western and Southern New England for over 40 years, farbrenged for a diverse crowd in Shikun Chabad, Yerushalayim, as a preparation for Yud Shvat. The farbrengen featured a full sit-down meal and musical accompaniment by the Shiras Halevi’im choir.
The farbrengen was organized by “Beis Chabad – Shikun Chabad” and skillfully arranged by Rabbi Menachem Schochet and Rabbi Shloime Schochet.
The audience hailed from Chassidish, Litvish, Ashkenazi and Sefardi communities and all sat captivated by Rabbi Deren’s stories and anecdotes. The participants went away inspired and better prepared for the Yom Habohir.
