Rabbi Braun Completes Yerushalmi Gemara at 770 Siyum
Just one night after Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba completed Maseches Makkos in Talmud Bavli, Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun led a siyum in Maseches Makkos of Talmud Yerushalmi. After completing the mesechta, he shared brief but meaningful divrei hisorerus, encouraging Torah learning, reflection, and inner growth.

Just one night after Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba completed Maseches Makkos in Bavli, Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, Mara D’asra and member of the Crown Heights Beis Din, led another powerful siyum in the main shul of 770 — this time on Maseches Makkos in Yerushalmi.
Held on Tuesday night, 5 Menachem Av (July 29), following Maariv, the siyum drew another large crowd and continued the spirit of Torah and uplift that has filled 770 throughout the Nine Days. Rabbi Braun completed the final lines of the Yerushalmi and shared brief but meaningful divrei hisorerus, encouraging Torah learning, reflection, and inner growth.
These consecutive siyumim — led by both Rabbonim of the Crown Heights Beis Din — are a living expression of personal dedication and commitment to Torah learning. The community is truly fortunate to have Rabbonim who not only guide in matters of halacha but also inspire through their personal dedication to Torah and public avodas Hashem.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Rabbi Menachem Gerlitzky, whose decades of organizing nightly Nine Days siyumim have brought countless moments of chizuk and joy to 770, year after year.
