R’ Aaron Zev Medelsohn, 55, A”H

With great sadness we inform you about the passing R’ Aaron Medelsohn OBM, a chossid and supporter of Lubavitch activities. He passed away Monday afternoon the 3rd of Nissan. He was 55 years old.

Aaron Mendelsohn was a known baal tzedakah, and was a supporter of the Machne Yisroel Fund. He learned in Yeshivas Tiferes Bochurim and in the Chabad Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad.

He also published the first “Lubavitcher” gemoroh in 5755, a mesechta Bava Metzia that also incorporated pirushim from Rabboseinu Nesiaynu and was the forerunner to the current “new” print of gemoros that are the new standard.

He had gone to great lenghths to recreate the old Vilna plates and modernize them using technological advances available at the time.

The Levaya will be passing by 770 Tuesday morning on its way to North Carolina. Times to be announced.
