For the tenth year in a row, the Lincoln Place Shul and the North Crown Heights community came together to celebrate the miracle of Chanukah with nightly public menorah lightings. Each night of Chanukah featured exciting activities for all ages, including prizes, the recitation of the 12 Pesukim, captivating shows, and, of course, delicious donuts and treats.
This year, the first night brought a surprise: CBS News quietly recorded the event, and the North Crown Heights Public Menorah Lighting was featured on national television alongside other major menorah lightings in New York. This unexpected spotlight beautifully amplified the message of Pirsumei Nisa, spreading the miracle of Chanukah far and wide, as the Rebbe emphasizes.
The Lincoln Place Shul would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the families who poured their effort and heart into making each night’s menorah lighting a beautiful and meaningful event. We are especially grateful to:
Moshe Frank Family (Lincoln Place)
Berel Bryski Family (Sterling Place)
Shneur Nejar Family (John’s Place)
Yitzchak Cohen Family (Troy Avenue)
Berky Tarshish Family (Sterling Place)
The Lincoln Place Shul led by Rabbi Meyer Shushan, continues to be a vibrant hub of Jewish life in North Crown Heights, offering daily minyanim, engaging shiurim, and inspiring farbrengens. Its dedication to community and Torah values was once again illuminated brightly this Chanukah season.
May the lights of the menorah continue to bring joy, inspiration, and unity to our neighborhood and beyond!
