Portable AC’s Boost Soldiers’ Performance on the Frontlines

Due to the extreme weather and intense heat, Ezer Lachayal has been supplying soldiers on the frontline with portable air conditioners, allowing soldiers to sustain physical performance levels, crucial for demanding tasks and prolonged operations.

The 99th and 98th command headquarters announced on the shloshim that the project of distributing portable air conditioners in support of the front line battlefield is in honor of the late general of the shluchim’s army, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of blessed memory.

Due to the extreme weather and intense heat, Ezer Lachayal Command Room in Kfar Chabad receives urgent requests from battle management officers as well as the ground soldiers in the battle zones of Gaza, as well as on the northern border and Judea and Samaria military outposts, asking us to donate portable air conditioners, allow soldiers to sustain physical performance levels, crucial for demanding tasks and prolonged operations.

One of the commanders told about his soldiers that are unable to sleep after two days of nonstop battle all due to the sweat and the heavy heat inside the building in Gaza, difficult for them to rest and regenerate in the field.

Rabbi Gershom Ohana shares:

“As Chabad Chassidim we have a responsibility to shower and overwhelm the fighters with Hassidic ‘warmth’ and ‘Maor Panim’. On the eve of Gimmel Tammuz, we should remember that the Rebbe wants us to help and assist every Jew especially the defenders of the people and nation, physically and spiritually, as the Alter Rebbe’s words are known, ‘the physicality of a Jew is spirituality’.”

We have been told by experienced commanders in the field, heat stress impairs cognitive functions such as decision-making, attention, and reaction times, comfortable living and working conditions contribute to better mental health, reducing stress and anxiety facilitate better sleep and recovery, essential for maintaining high performance and resilience and improves soldiers’ morale and fostering a stronger, more committed force.

In conclusion, Rabbi Eliyahu Gutman, CEO of Ezer Lachayal, says:

“The late Rabbi Moshe in concern and in service of the Rebbe’s missions to Jews around the world for wellbeing spiritually and physically with material aid and goods and for every Shaliach or SHaDaR and his family and his community. We continue his actions to the Rebbe’s satisfaction, to care for every Jew and the marvelous IDF fighters who give their lives for the people. We must supply them with air conditioners as they battle to the great victory.”
