Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef and the Rabbinical Council of the Chief Rabbinate, welcomed back Rabbi Shimon Elituv to the council, after recovering from a heart attack he suffered last summer.
Rabbi Elitov is the rabbi of Mateh Binyamin Regional Council and one of the senior Chabad Rabbonim in Eretz Yisrael.
