A Jew in Berlin posted this image on his Instagram page writing:
“During my morning run in Monbijou, I said “Shalom” to a rabbi from Miami. He was leading a student tour. When I told him I study Jewish-German literature, he seemed a little perplexed and asked me why not Yiddish, but never mind that. He convinced me to wrap tefillin (morning Jewish prayer ritual), something I hadn’t done since I was 15. I resisted at first but when he told me it would only take three minutes I couldn’t refuse. I’ve got to say, it felt nice. “
