Picture of the Day
As America mourns Charlie Kirk, a prominent voice for morality who was assassinated yesterday at a speaking event, a reader shared a photo from an interview earlier this year, displaying the iconic Gutnick Chumash, featuring the Rebbe’s commentary and insights, prominently displayed on his bookshelf.

please don’t lower your standards
Why? What’s so important for a chassid to know about him, who cares what’s in his house he has avodah zorah in his house he’s a Christian.
The Rebbe speaks with admiration of the founding fathers of America and their religious values (as opposed to their theology). They were Christians.
In my humble opinion the 2 above comments dont represent the voice of Lubavitch.
Sure we want a beautiful site, but the Rebbe would learn from big world events. And i believe articles like this are in that category.
And when a non jew was a ohev Yisroel. To knock it is not the way the Rebbe taught us.
It’s very relevant and empowering to see that influential Goyim are receptive to the Rebbe’s message. It demonstrates that we are drawing ever closer to the Geulah, and enhances our pride as Jews.
Keep up the good work and don’t be nispoel from closed-minded comments.
He was a religious person who followed G-D, That’s a good thing!
According to allot of options Christianity is avodah zarah
The Alter Rebbe said regarding Napoleon and the Czar that a goy who is an athiest is even worse than a goy who believes in avoda zara, and the goy who is an athiest can have no tikkun (מאמרי אדמו“ר הזקן – תקע“ב ע‘ רלב).
The Alter Rebbe preferred the Czar because at least he wasn’t apathetic.
And according to a lot of opinions it’s not, for non-Jews. Who appointed you the posek to decide which opinion is correct?
Mr Kirk has influenced thousands of Jewish and lhavdil non Jewish students to seek out and return to their respective religions, is absolutely amazing. Apparently the first 2 comments never listen to his talks espousing morality, ethics, religion, and even the fact that none Jews also have laws to keep according to the old testament, which he mentioned several times.
The fact that the Rebbe’s teachings reached out to so many people around the world, it’s absolutely amazing. Ask the shluchim on campus, how many people came to them because of him.
regardless of the opinion of the first 2 commenters, it seems that this commenter is making a case that chassidim should be listening to this guy ch”v. for all those that never heard of him until this story (like yours truly), keep up the good work, and we’ll spread yiddishkeit just fine without knowing all the shtusim of oilom hazeh (and it seems strange to openly boast about knowing what he spoke about often, and what he mentioned several times etc., there are other ways of saying the same point without giving off an impression of bekius or that others should do the same)
I never listened to him or heard of him before his tragic death.
Sure a chasid should not listened to those people.
But it doesn’t mean that when a person like that gets killed, it should not be spoken about, and definitely the right think to post a picture where he has a chumush with the Rebbe’s teachings.
And he very fiercely defended Yidden and Eretz Yisroel. Perhaps at the cost of his life
Theres a letter from the rebbe
Where he explains that todays christians are not like the real עובדי עבודה זרה,
And that although the religion is avoda zara,
It is just that מעשה אבותיהם בידיהם
And they are just continuing their tradition.
P.s. when u introduce them שבע מצוות לבני נח
They are generally very receptive
Our Rebbe dedicated an entire Farbrengen on his birthday – yud aleph nissan 5741 – to the assassination attempt of President Reagan. Explaining at length how the current US education system allowed it and how it needs to be changed.
The focus is not on a specific human being (and definitely not which religion he identified as) the focus is how its possible for a human being to literally murder another human being just because of his views.
The secular education system needs to instill within children morals and values predicated on the Creator Hashem – Instead of focusing only on how to make a living in build a career.
Please please lets keep anash.org focused on kedusha instead of “midbar hagodol”
