This past Thursday, Yud-Tes Kislev, thousands gathered at the majestic Cirque Mondial venue, nestled in the heart of Reuilly Lawn in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, for a grand celebration marking the Chag HaGeulah – the day commemorating the liberation of the Alter Rebbe, author of the Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, from the Czarist prisons.
The event, organized by Beis Lubavitch of Paris, was a beautiful blend of profound spiritual inspiration and joyous Chassidic celebration. Among the distinguished guests was Rabbi Shlomo Bentolila, the Rebbe’s shliach to Central Africa, who delivered an uplifting address on the deep significance of Chag HaGeulah and its impact on both individuals and the broader community.
The highlight of the evening was an electrifying performance by renowned international Chassidic singer Simcha Friedman. His stirring renditions of beloved Chassidic niggunim captivated the crowd, elevating the atmosphere to a peak of joy and spiritual connection.
During the event, heartfelt tribute was paid to the memory of Rebbetzin Miriam Bentolila, a”h, the Rebbe’s devoted shlucha to Central Africa, in recognition of her remarkable contributions to the community and the mission of shlichus.
The evening left an indelible impression on all who attended, offering a rich program filled with meaningful content and the unique warmth of a Chassidic gathering. The spirit of Chag HaGeulah was etched into the hearts of the thousands who came together to experience the joy of geulah and Jewish unity.
