Organizations Unite to Create New Winter Camp
Aimed at providing public school children with a structured and meaningful program during the upcoming winter break, Camp L’man Achai has announced a new winter camp initiative, developed in partnership with Camp Gan Israel F.R.E.E.
Camp L’man Achai has announced a new winter camp initiative, developed in partnership with Camp Gan Israel F.R.E.E., aimed at providing public school children with a structured and meaningful program during the upcoming winter break.
The weeklong program will be held in Tannersville, N.Y., offering participants a blend of outdoor activities and Jewish educational experiences. According to organizers, the winter session is designed to mirror the atmosphere of the traditional summer camp, while incorporating activities suited for the colder season.
Campers will take part in skiing, winter outings, and on-site recreational programming. The Tannersville campus, set in the Catskill Mountains, will also provide heated facilities, prepared meals, and supervision from experienced staff.
Organizers say the initiative grew out of a desire to extend the camp’s impact beyond the summer months. “This allows campers to experience the spirit of CLA year-round,” one staff member noted, adding that the program aims to foster friendships, confidence, and a stronger connection to Jewish identity.
Registration has nearly reached capacity, according to the camp. Families seeking additional information can visit the camp’s website at camplmanachai.com/winter
