Online School Students Connect at Annual Reunion

Classmates, teachers and mothers of the Shluchim Online School joined together for their annual reunion, a once a year event where they get to see each other in person and connect.

Classmates, teachers and mothers of the Nigri Shluchim Online School joined together for their annual reunion, a once a year event where they get to see each other in person and connect.

Every year, the students of the virtual school of the Shluchim Office eagerly await the annual Day of Celebration where they get to meet and spend a day with their classmates and teachers. Many of the students and teachers traveled great distances to join, even from international destinations far away.

Earlier in the day, the teachers and staff got together for a beautiful teacher appreciation lunch, to get treated out in appreciation for all the hard work they do year round. The Morah’s don’t often get the opportunity to see each other, so this was a beautiful way for them to connect and get renewed energy for the rest of the school year.

“The highlight of my year as a Morah is Day of Celebration,” wrote Mrs. Chava Ceitlin. “It was so nice to see my students in real life and get to really connect with them on a whole new level. The Chayus and positive energy this year was unbelievable!”

The students began the program with a metal jewelry workshop. Each student got to engrave their very own name bracelet to take home. Simultaneously, the mothers enjoyed a panel discussion with fellow Shluchos and mothers of Nigri Shluchim Online School students to trade ideas and talk about relevant and relatable topics.

The girls took class pictures with their teachers before joining their mothers in the big hall for a sit down dinner together with the teachers and staff.

Morah Devora Leah Weiss, Associate Director welcomed everyone and students Aliza Pape and Chana Rapoport recited Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s Kapitelach. Each class performed a heartfelt song expressing the connection between Rebbe and Chassidim with the youngest grade leading the school in singing the school theme song.

The amazing night ended off with dancing and a grand school picture which was printed on the spot for students to take home.

“Both parents and students shared how meaningful it is to see the impact of the Chinuch and special friendship opportunities the school creates,” shared Morah Devora Leah Weiss. “This powerful reunion gives rejuvenation and Chayus for the Young Shluchos to bring back to their Makom Hashlichus and motivation to reinvest in their learning.”

The program was led by director Morah Devora Leah Weiss and Morah Sheina Hertz with the dedicated team of staff including Altie KaminetzkySorale Teitelbaum, Rivky Horowitz, Muka Sandhaus, Sarah Chaikin, Yisroel Taub and Mendel Benjaminson. Special thanks to Menachem Horowitz for the music.
