Just a few weeks removed from last school year, students in Cheder Ohr Menachem in Crown Heights, returned to their classrooms after a short, invigorating summer break. The students, eager to get back to learning, began their first day with an assembly as per the Rebbe’s Hora’ah for the beginning of Elul.
Principal Rabbi Menachem Mendel Yusewitz spoke of the special strength each student posses, specifically in the month of Elul when the king is near us “in the field”.
Rabbi Goldstein addressed the boys and benched them with a successful year. Rabbi Y. Overlander gave each boy a coin for tzedaka, and the boys set off to begin a new year full of learning, davening and midos tovos with yiras shomayim preparing for the immediate arrival of Moshiach.
