A double event in Oholei Torah on Sunday celebrated the Mishnayos Baal Peh and Tzivos Hashem accomplishments of boys from Oholei Torah grades 6-7.
Prizes were distributed to the talmidim with the top achievements in the Mishnayos and Tanya Baal Peh programs that were ongoing throughout the year in this division. Distributing the prizes was by Rabbi Sholom Rosenfeld the son of Rabbi Yosef C. Rosenfeld a”h which the Mishayos Baal Peh was learned in his memory, and by Rabbi Mendel Levin, Tzivos Hashem Base Commander in Oholei Torah.
Rabbi Yehoshua Lustig, principal of grades 6-7 led the event. Prizes were awarded to winners of the Mishnayos Baal Peh program, awarding 417 talmidim who had studied Mishnayos, Gemara, and Tanya for the past few months. The talmidim with the top marks were rewarded on stage with various sefarim.
In addition, there was a grand promotion ceremony for generals in the flourishing Tzivos Hashem program at Oholei Torah. 100 talmidim went up in rank since before Pesach, and today, the finale was held with a grand promotion ceremony.
During a brief intermission from handing out the prizes, everyone turned their attention to the screens where they saw a video of Oholei Torah students who excelled in Mishnayos Baal Peh going by the Rebbe for dollars accompanied by their teachers.
Parents were smiling, cameras were flashing, and everyone had nachas from all the talmidim who participated in these extra-curricular programs.
The program was dedicated in memory of Rabbi Yossel Rosenfeld, the longtime Executive Director of Oholei Torah who passed away at the beginning of this school year.
