Over the past few weeks, the Pre1A classes at Oholei Torah celebrated a major milestone with beautifully arranged Siddur Parties. Each event marked the moment when the young talmidim received their very first siddurim, symbolizing their growing connection to tefillah and Yiddishkeit.
Parents commented how impressed they were with how well the yingelach were prepared for the siddur party and how it was a true celebration.
The highlight of the event came after the siddur presentation, when the boys were lifted onto their fathers’ shoulders for dancing accompanied by live music by Choni Zucker. Mommys and Bubbys watched proudly as the room filled with joy and heartfelt emotion. Refreshments were served, rounding out a truly memorable and uplifting celebration for all in attendance.
Rabbi Greenfeld, Menahel of Pre1A, shared his thoughts on the importance of this moment in the lives of the students and their families. “Celebrating the siddur and the ability to read from it was a truly special and meaningful moment, filled with simcha. It emphasized for the children the importance of Avodas HaTefillah as they embark on a lifelong journey of learning from heilige seforim. The children also shared stories of the Rabbeim and their Ahavas Yisroel, highlighting how Tefillah, Ahavas Yisroel, and simcha are foundational for Chassidim, as laid out by our Rabbeim—with the ultimate goal of bringing Moshiach now.”
