Great excitement has arisen among Chabad Chassidim and collectors of Chabad memorabilia: the Moreshet Auction House has announced a special Chabad sale featuring a remarkable collection of rare and touching items from the Rebbeim – sacred books, letters, blessings, and items given directly by the Rebbe. The sale offers a rare opportunity to glimpse authentic chapters of Chabad history and to acquire items carrying the spiritual legacy of Chabad.

One of the most touching items in the auction is a Tehillim used by the Rebbe. Such a Tehillim used by the Rebbe sparks profound excitement among Chassidim, since it recalls moments when the Rebbe prayed for the welfare of the entire Jewish people and for each and every one of them.

Another particularly touching item is a set of four consecutive dollar bills given directly by the Rebbe on the 16th of Cheshvan 1990. One of the dollars was given specifically “for a child to be born,” and the Rebbe added the encouraging words: “Soon – azoi iz besser!”. The dollars have been kept together ever since and represent a special blessing for children  – a blessing that, according to the family, was indeed fulfilled.

Especially rare is an original invitation sent by the Admor the Rayatz bearing his original handwritten signature to the wedding of his daughter, Rebbetzin Sheina, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hornstein. The wedding took place in the town of Landvarov, Poland, a location chosen due to the severe travel restrictions and border limitations of that time. In the invitation, the Rebbe the Rayatz personally requests his Chassidim to participate in the joyful event and bless the couple that they should build “a Jewish home founded upon Torah and Mitzvot.” Interestingly, the version of this invitation differs slightly from other known invitations sent for that wedding, making it a unique bibliographic and historical item.

Under the category of Igrot Kodesh are several special letters by the Rebbe. One includes a birthday blessing with an additional line handwritten by the Rebbe: “Lehistadrut and for a good Shidduch soon”. Another letter was sent to mark a move to a new home, where the Rebbe blesses: “May changing one’s place change one’s Mazal for the good and for blessing, both materially and spiritually” adding in his own handwritten words: “and success in Avodat Hakodesh.”

Also featured is a special letter sent by the Rebbe the Rishon LeZion, Rabbi Yitzchak Nissim, conveying blessings for Passover: “Freedom from worries in material matters and from worries in spiritual matters” – reflecting the Rebbe’s profound view of true inner freedom.

For collectors of rare Chassidic books, the highlight of the sale is undoubtedly two original leaves of the first edition of the Tanya, printed during the lifetime of its author, the Admor Hazaken, by Rabbi Moshe Shapira in Slavita in the years 1796. Original surviving leaves of the first edition of the Sefer Yesod of the Chabad Chassidus are exceedingly rare and highly sought after in the world of Judaica and Chassidic book collecting.

This auction joins the growing series of special Chabad auctions held by Moreshet, which have become a recognized destination for Chabad Chassidim, Shluchim, and collectors seeking historical Chabadic items.

Do not miss the opportunity to fulfill a Chassidic dream and to acquire an item imbued with spiritual significance and historical legacy.
