Newly Discovered Artwork of Shevii Shel Pesach by Kleinman
A newly discovered illustration by the renowned chasidishe artist, Reb Zalman Kleinman, depicting Shevii shel Pesach night in Kfar Chabad. The sketch depicts the common folk minhag of pouring water on the floor and dancing across it, reminiscent of keriyas yam suf.
A newly discovered illustration by the renowned chasidishe artist, Reb Zalman Kleinman, depicting Shevii shel Pesach night in Kfar Chabad. Sketched in pencil or charcoal in 1956, this piece is from the early years of his artistic career.
The sketch depicts the widespread minhag of pouring water on the floor and dancing across it, reminiscent of keriyas yam suf. Many Chabad communities practices this minhag, and some communities in Eretz Yisroel still do it today.
