The fourth issue of Bnei Heichala, a Torah journal for yeshiva students and Anash, has just been released. Following the warm reception of its previous editions, this new volume arrives in time for Gimmel Tammuz and centers on the theme of hiskashrus to the Rebbe – its essence and its practical expression in our generation.
Rabbi Yitzchak Goldberg, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Temimim in Migdal HaEmek, explores what hiskashrus meant in earlier generations and sharpens the unique responsibility of dor hashvi’i. He also addresses key questions that every chossid grapples with, offering a clear, thought-provoking perspective.
Rabbi Asher Farkash, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Temimim in Buenos Aires, draws readers into the heart of Chassidic heritage. His article focuses on the avodah of going to the Ohel – from the Mitteler Rebbe’s prolonged visits to the Alter Rebbe’s tziyun before his passing, to the Rebbe’s own regular journeys to the Ohel. The message he concludes with is clear — this is where the Rebbe is found, and this is where a chossid must go.
Rabbi Elimelech Raichik analyzes in-depth a maamar of the Rebbe, Tefillah L’Moshe 5729, highlighting how the Rebbe defines the tefillah of a Rebbe versus that of a chossid, and how they intertwine.
Rabbi Yitzchak Kaplan focuses on one of the oldest and most central forms of hiskashrus – writing a pan. Through a close reading of the Rebbe’s words, he sheds light on the proper approach and meaning behind this tradition.
Additional sections in this issue include Shaarei Heichal, featuring a deep shiur by R’ Eliyahu Landa on the sugya of zar she’achal terumah in Maseches Kesubos, currently being studied in many yeshivos.
A new series explores the halachic approach to the development of electricity, while another section offers a fascinating glimpse into the life and learning of Rav Nechemia of Dubrovna, author of Divrei Nechemia. Also included is a heartfelt farbrengen with the late mashpia, R’ Shalom Feldman a”h.
The issue concludes with an in-depth section on Likkutei Sichos, based on the shiurim of Reb Yoel Kahn a”h. This installment focuses on the well-known sicha from Parshas Shemos in Volume 6, with the first half appearing here and the continuation scheduled for the next issue.
This installment of Bnei Heichala was published in collaboration with the Mayanotecha publishing house.
Bnei Heichala is available at Crown Heights seforim stores or online here.
