The Governor of the State of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo Proclaimed “118 Days of Education” in the State of New York in honor of the Rebbe “A holy man who inspired millions of Jews.”
The Governor proclaimed “Official recognition from Sunday April 5, corresponding to 11 Nissan, the Rebber’s 118th birthday, to Friday, July 31,2020 corresponding to 10 Av 5780, as 118 DAYS OF EDUCATION in the Empire State, as a tribute to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M Schneerson.”
Rabbi Shmuel M. Butman, Director Lubavitch Youth Organization thanked the Governor for his Proclamation and said that this is the most appropriate tribute to the Rebbe “as the Rebbe teaches us about the education of all children regardless of race, religion, color or creed.”
