A beautiful and uplifting celebration took place Sunday as a new Sefer Torah, dedicated by Mr. Motey and Mrs. Feigy Rosenberg in memory of their parents and relatives, was completed and welcomed into Chabad of Marine Park’s shul Nachlas Levi Yitzchak.

The writing of the final letters took place at the home of the Shliach, Rabbi Levi Hakohen Hendel, where community members and friends had the opportunity to participate in this special moment as the last letters of the Torah were filled in.

Following the completion, a joyous procession began, accompanied by lively music and dancing through the streets as the Sefer Torah was escorted to its new home at Chabad of Marine Park. With the streets closed for the celebration, many community members and neighbors joined together with their families, dancing and celebrating in honor of this momentous occasion.

Miraculously, this day had amazing weather—the first such beautiful day in many months in NYC—making the celebration even more special.

Upon arriving at the shul, Hakafos were held with great excitement and joy as the new Sefer Torah was welcomed into the Aron Kodesh.

The celebration concluded with a festive fleishig Seudas Mitzvah served ברוב פאר והדר. Participants enjoyed inspiring Divrei Torah, emphasizing the special era of Geulah that we are living in, highlighting the miracles currently taking place in Eretz Yisrael, and how the Rebbe connected the mitzvah of Kesivas Sefer Torah—the final mitzvah of the 613 mitzvos—with the conclusion of Galus.
