New Thursday Night Shiur Launches in Crown Heights
The New Beis Medrash in Crown Heights has launched a new Thursday night shiur on the practical laws of Shabbos, given by Rabbi Mendy Shneur, known for his clear, grounded style and ability to explain halacha for everyday life.
A new Thursday night shiur has launched in Crown Heights, bringing clarity to one of the most practical areas of Halacha: the laws of Shabbos.
The shiur is a project of The New Beis Medrash and is given by Rabbi Mendy Shneur, a popular teacher known for his clear, grounded style and his ability to explain halacha in a way that connects directly to daily life.
Each week, the shiur focuses on real questions that come up in every home, while also explaining where these laws come from.
Topics include reheating food on Shabbos and what is actually permitted, packages and carrying in apartment buildings, and other common Shabbos questions people deal with all the time.
The shiur takes place weekly on Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:15 PM, following evening prayers, at 630 East New York, lower level. The Beis Medrash is also open throughout Thursday night for anyone who would like to stay and learn.
The shiur is held in memory of Reb Peretz ben Reb Yitzchak Feigenson AH, who was deeply involved in strengthening Torah learning and public shiurim in the Crown Heights community.
The New Beis Medrash is geared toward Crown Heights men looking for serious learning in a flexible evening setting. It offers a warm and structured environment with regular night learning, shiurim, one-on-one study, and gatherings, all focused on steady growth in Torah.
