New Shluchim to Ignite Jewish Life in Williamson County

With a growing Jewish population, Williamson County, located in the suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee, has officially welcomed its own Chabad shluchim. Rabbi Mendel and Chana Baron have begun their work in the community, offering Jewish services, programs, and community events.

Rabbi Mendel and Chana Baron (née Tiechtel) are proud to announce the establishment of the first-ever Chabad House in Williamson County, TN. Appointed by Rabbi Yitzchok and Esther Tiechtel, Shluchim to Nashville, TN, the Barons are stepping up to fill a vital need in the community. With a growing population of Jewish families in the area, there has been a call for Jewish programming and connection, which the Barons aim to address.

Inspired by the Rebbe’s vision of reaching every Jew, they plan to offer warm Shabbat meals, engaging events, Torah classes, and other opportunities to foster Jewish life. As one local expressed, “Chabad could not have come at a better time.” Rabbi Yitzchok Tiechtel emphasized the importance of this initiative, noting the exponential growth of the Jewish community in Williamson County and the urgent need for a permanent Chabad center.

Rabbi Mendel Baron shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to establish a home for Jewish life in Williamson County. Over the past few years, the local Jewish population has expressed the need for consistent Jewish programs and resources close to home. We are excited to provide a space where every Jew can feel welcomed, connected, and supported.”
