Rabbi Yisroel and Zelda Posner, along with their newborn daughter Mushka, have been appointed as the new Shluchim to Boston, Massachusetts, serving Boston University.
As one of the largest private universities in the country, Boston University boasts a vibrant student body of over 30,000, including a large Jewish population.
Complementing the work of the Chabad House of Greater Boston, the Posners will establish a new branch on Boston University’s West Campus, an ever-expanding hub of student life and off-campus housing.
Rabbi Shmuel and Chani Posner have been directing the Chabad House of Greater Boston since they arrived in Boston in 1985, joining Head Shliach of Eastern Massachusetts Rabbi Chaim Prus and Nechama Prus.
“My wife and I are excited to have Yisroel and Zelda serve the student population here,” said Rabbi Shmuel Posner. “We are confident that together, they will have a dramatic impact on improving Jewish student life and will be a source of nachas to the Rebbe.”
