Keren Hachomesh, founded by the Rebbe in honor of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, has announced a special program to support recent Crown Heights widows and their families which have been struck by the devastating blow of a lost breadwinner.

The program will assist these families, in a sensitive and discreet manner, with free credit at local food stores, until Rosh Hashanah.

“This initiative was sparked by some of our key donors, who are also contributing seed money for this program,” said Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky on behalf of Keren Hachomesh. “They asked to remain anonymous with the wish that everyone join them in this unique mitzvah.”

Earlier last month, Keren Hachomesh disbursed substantial subsidies for food and Pesach provisions to Crown Heights families suffering under the strain of the virus.
