To prepare for the Rebbe’s 118th birthday, the community of New Haven joined with the bochurim from the Yeshiva to learn selected portions of the Rebbe’s Torah.

The Chabad community in New Haven together with Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo Zal has begun a special learning project to prepare for the Rebbe’s 118th birthday this upcoming Yud Alef Nissan.
A special 4-week initiative will see the community gathering on Tuesdays for a shiur in Rebbe’s Torah, and on Thursdays for a chavrusa with bochurim from the zal.
The Tuesday shiur is given by Menahel of the Zal Rabbi Chanoch Bistritzky on the subject of “Why Choose G-d” – the Rebbe’s revolutionary Maamer on ‘Bechira’ – B’yom Ashtei Assar.
On Thursdays, community members will join the Zal bochurim for Chavrusa learning of selected Sichos of the Rebbe.
The Mivtza is a joint project of the Yeshiva and Oholei Yosef Yitzchok directed by Avi Dagan.
