New Haven Celebrates Community Member’s Siyum Hashas

The local Anash community of New Haven gathered this Sunday evening for a Siyum HaShas by community member and mesivta maggid shiur, Rabbi Gershon Borenstein. The event drew community members, rabbonim, bochurim, and friends, who came together to celebrate the monumental achievement of completing the entire shas.
Held at Congregation Lubavitch on Norton Street, the Siyum was addressed by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, shliach and rov to Rechovot, secretary of the Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad in Eretz Yisroel, and father-in-law of the mesayem. He spoke warmly about the power of Torah learning and the eternal merit created through a Siyum HaShas.
The siyum was dedicated in memory of Chaim Shneur Zalman Hakohen a”h ben yblch”t Bezalel HaKohen Borenstein sheyichye, a young shliach in Whitby, Canada, who tragically passed away in 5778 (2018).
The evening concluded with a seudas mitzva and a spirited farbrengen, leaving the community inspired by the achievement and the meaningful tribute to the precious neshama in whose memory the siyum was held.
