“We are thrilled to announce the fulfillment of a dream – the opening with Siyata dishmaya in 5782/3, of a new Chabad Mesivta on the East Coast,” the administration said.
The hanhala says that the new yeshiva, which they describe as “the dream mesivta” has long been in the making by parents who wanted a real alternative: to cater to chassidishe bochurim looking for the highest level of chassidishkeit, yiras shamayim, lomdus and chinuch al taharas hakodesh, together with love, warmth, care and empathy.
They say that the new mesivta will be “building Talmidim from the foundation up with guidelines of Hadracha and attention as laid down by the Rebbe, to really ‘get’ the bochur; to show him how being a chossid is relevant to his life and how to develop a deep relationship with Hashem.”
The mesivta has secured a stunning campus with a dorm, in the scenic hills of Pomona NY, Thanks to the generosity of visionary donors. The campus will provide ample space for all yeshiva needs and a majestic happy gashmiyus environment.
The Yeshiva is being driven by a group of passionate parents led by Rabbi and Mrs. Yoseph Vigler, whose son will be attending the Mesivta. Rabbi Nochum Labkowski will serve as maggid shiur and menahel.
In a release sent to Anash.org, the administration laid out their goals for the new Mesivta: Highest level of chassidishe chinuch for chassidishe bochurim; Personal attention, understanding bochurim and relating Chassidus to their questions; Emphasis to know well and remember Masechtos and Maamarim through a solid learning plan and comprehensive chazara; Care of Emotional and physical well being of bochurim; High standard of gashmiyus and dorm facilities; Involving parents in the chinuch of their children.
