New Beis Medrash Tent will Replace Building Behind 770

After standing abandoned for over twenty years, the old kollel building behind 770 has begun to be demolished and will be replaced with a new, comfortable zal for bochurim learning in 770.

After more than two decades of standing unused, the kollel building behind 770 has begun to be demolished. In its place, a spacious temporary tent is being put up bez”H, which will serve as a new, comfortable zal for the bochurim learning in the 770 yeshiva.

The large tent will seat 300 and provide a respectful, pleasant, and accessible environment for Torah study. The initiative aims to address the pressing need for a proper space for the bochurim who dedicate their days and nights to learning in 770.

The project is being carried out in partnership with Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and Machne Israel, with all partners working together sensitively and responsibly to ensure a smooth process.

Project coordinators expressed their gratitude to a group of dedicated yungeleit, including Rabbi Shmuly Avtzon, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Altein, and many others, for their generous assistance in making this initiative a reality.

    1. When someone does something good, very often people will come to him and offer suggestions of what else he should do…

Expanding 770 is long overdue, but that doesn’t take away from this important project.

  1. What a long overdue project. The spearheaders should be blessed!
To whom would I give if I want to donate towards the project?

  2. Hope the gaboim are involved so it will still fell like a part of 770 and not like a nice yagdil Torah in CH, 770 benches and stuff (hopefully there’ll be some sort of door or something leading to 770
