A new resource for practical halachic guidance has been launched under the auspices of Merkos Suite 302, providing Anash and shluchim with a trusted address for clear and confidential halachic direction.
The newly established “Bais Hora’ah Chabad” offers individuals the opportunity to present their questions to rabbonim who are well-versed in practical halacha and the realities faced by Lubavitch communities worldwide. The service is provided free of charge and is designed to make qualified hora’ah readily accessible in a warm and confidential manner.
The Bais Hora’ah operates under the guidance of Lubavitch rabbonim, including Rabbi Boruch Hertz, mara d’asra of the Lubavitch community of Chicago, Rabbi Gedalya Oberlander, mara d’asra of the Lubavitch community in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Raskin, mara d’asra of the Lubavitch community of London, Rabbi Mordechai Farkash, shliach and moreh hora’ah in Bellevue, Washington, and Rabbi Tuvia Kasimov of Crown Heights.
Associate rabbonim at the Bais Hora’ah include Rabbi Ehud Kvin of Florida, Rabbi Berel Polityko of Airmont, NY, and Rabbi Mendel Prescott of New Haven, Connecticut.
The Bais Hora’ah operates under the leadership of Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302, Rabbi Mendel Chaiton, Menahel Merkos Torah, together with Rabbi Betzalel Bassman, menahel of Bais Hora’ah Chabad. Administrative oversight is handled by Rabbi Moshe Markowitz, mazkir of the Bais Hora’ah, and Rabbi Mendel Zirkind, sgan mazkir.
Organizers say the goal of the new initiative is to create a trusted halachic resource where questions are addressed with care, clarity, and confidentiality, ensuring that Anash and shluchim around the world have ready access to experienced rabbonim when practical guidance is needed.
Those seeking guidance can submit questions through an online form — with an anonymous option available — or speak directly with a rov by phone or WhatsApp.
