In honor of the 16th yahrtzeit of Mrs. Pesha Leah Roetter-Azoulay a”h, which was this past Shabbos, 21 Teves, producer and singer Mendel Markel released a new album titled “Dear Child: The Poems of Pesha Leah Roetter-Azoulay a’h”.

The album is a musical project that sets Pesha Leah’s poetry to melodies and arrangements in his signature style of cinematic pop-rock soundscapes. The poems speak directly to the inner child in each of us, as we each go through our personal struggle with vulnerability, hope, faith, and moral clarity. Pesha Leah Roetter-Azoulay a”h, was tragically taken from the world at a young age in a car accident. Marking her yahrtzeit through music gives renewed voice to her words, allowing her poetry to continue resonating and offering meaning, comfort, and reflection to new listeners.
