In a message to the nation, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu pointed to a set of Tanyas displayed in his office, while describing emunah as the secret behind Israel’s overwhelming military success.

“What is the key? What is the secret?” the Prime Minister asked while recounting his latest conversation with US President Donald Trump about Israel’s sweeping campaign against Iran. “Emunah,” he said, pointing to the Tanyas. Then, gesturing to a miniature B-2 bomber on his desk: “Strength. We have both.”

As reported by Anash.org last year, the Tanyas were gifted to Netanyahu during the traditional pre-Sukkos visit by a delegation of Chabad rabbonim. The books were printed over forty years ago in Lebanese cities — including Beirut and Tyre — during the First Lebanon War in 1982, under a specific directive from the Rebbe and as part of the Rebbe’s global project to print the Tanya in thousands of locations worldwide.

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Aharonov, chairman of Tzach, presented the volumes to the Prime Minister at the time. Visitors to Netanyahu’s office have since been surprised to see them prominently displayed. Close-up photos show a plaque bearing the following inscription:

To the Prime Minister, Mr. Benyamin Netanyahu — A blessing for victory over all our enemies. These sacred Tanya books were printed under the special directive of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in the midst of the Lebanon War, in the cities of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, to provide strength, courage, and victory over all the enemies of Israel, ‘with a strong hand and an outstretched arm,’ as it is written, ‘The Lord will fight for you, and you shall be silent.’ 12th of Tishrei, 5785 – Tzach of Eretz Hakodesh.

“With strategies you shall wage war,” Netanyahu had told the delegation at the time. “We need courage, strategy, and siyata diShmaya. War is a lengthy endeavor – there are better days and harder days, but the main goal is victory.”

In today’s video, Netanyahu opened by recounting his latest conversation with Trump. “I spoke again with my friend, President Trump. I expressed to him our tremendous appreciation for the heroic rescue operation of that American aircrew member, and President Trump, for his part, thanked me for the assistance Israel provided in that operation.”

“In general, he spoke about us in superlative terms. He said, ‘You guys are great — you’re tremendous.’ He sees Israel as a strong, determined, and resolute ally, fighting shoulder to shoulder alongside the United States. Together, we continue to strike at the terror regime of Iran.”

Netanyahu then detailed the ongoing campaign. “Today, we destroyed the largest petrochemical plant in Iran. In other words, we are systematically dismantling the financial engine of the Revolutionary Guards. We are eliminating facilities, we are eliminating operatives, and yes, we continue to eliminate senior figures. Iran is not the same Iran — it is no longer what it once was. Israel is not the same Israel — Israel is stronger than ever, and the terror regime in Iran is weaker than ever.”

He then turned to the Tanyas and the B-2, delivering his closing words: “And what is the key? What is the secret? Emunah and strength. We have both.”
