Mrs. Ruth Averbuch, mother of the Steinmetz family and sister of the Schochets, passed away on Beis Iyar. Levaya today at 1:10 pm.

Mrs. Ruth Averbuch, mother of the Steinmetz family and sister of the Schochets, passed away on Friday, Beis Iyar.

She was 89 years old.

She is survived by her children, Rabbi Chaim Gershon Steinmetz of Detroit, Mrs. Chana Silberstein of Ithaca, NY, and Rabbi Avrohom Meir Binyomin Steinmetz of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

She is also survived by her siblings, Mrs. Batya Wagner of Toronto, Mrs. Amina Newman of Long Beach, CA, Mr. Joseph Daniel Schochet of Toronto, Rabbi Elisha Shochet of Toronto, Rabbi Ovadia Schochet of Miami, and Rabbi Ezra Schochet of Los Angeles.

The Levaya will pass by 770 today at 1:10 pm.

Shiva will be at 666 Crown Street.
