In an unbelievable twist, it was revealed today that one of the additional gifts Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu presented to U.S. President Donald Trump – an elegant leather-bound case – was none other than … a dollar from the Rebbe.

The dollar was given alongside a custom-designed mezuzah shaped like a B-2 stealth bomber, crafted from fragments of Iranian missiles – a symbolic nod to the aircraft Trump ordered to strike Iranian nuclear infrastructure.

These symbolic gifts were presented during Netanyahu’s official state visit to Washington, where he met with top U.S. leaders – including a high-profile meeting with President Trump at the White House, where they discussed Gaza, Iran, Syria, the Palestinians, and prospects for regional peace. During the meeting, Netanyahu also surprised Trump with a personal letter he had submitted to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, formally nominating him for the prestigious award.

The idea to give the Rebbe’s dollar began earlier that week. On Sunday, the day of Netanyahu’s departure for the U.S., Meir Bar Lev, Deputy Mayor of Beitar Illit and Chabad representative on the city council, gave him a dollar from the Rebbe, hoping to strengthen and inspire the Prime Minister ahead of the trip.

Bar Lev spoke with Netanyahu about the Rebbe’s timeless message, referencing the first Rashi on the Torah in Bereishis, which teaches that the entire Land of Eretz Yisroel belongs to the Jewish people. Netanyahu responded by showing him a photo of the Rebbe displayed in his office and remarked that he always acts in accordance with the Rebbe’s guidance, especially when it comes to protecting the Land of Israel.

Visibly excited over the gift, Netanyahu asked if he could bring a second dollar for President Trump. Rabbi Chaim Greenberg, the Chabad shliach to Beitar Illit, offered one, which was passed to Bibi and then personally presented to Trump on a meaningful date: the 12th of Tammuz.

Rabbi Chaim Greenberg received the dollar from the Rebbe on 9 Shevat, 5747 (1987). The dollar was placed in a beautiful leather case, engraved in gold lettering with the following dedication:

To President Donald J. Trump
A true friend and partner of the Jewish People
From Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
