Shluchim from the greater Montreal area gathered on Motzei Shabbos Parshas Vayera for a regional Kinus Hashluchim in preparation for the upcoming International Kinus Hashluchim in New York this weekend.
The Kinus focused on the Rebbe’s last sicha to the shluchim, delivered during the Kinus of 5752. In the sicha, the Rebbe expounded on the shluchim’s mission to welcome Moshiach, and how all their activities should be done with this in mind. Entitled ‘Vision Conscious’, the regional Kinus was organized by the shluchim of the area together with Merkos 302, to give the shluchim a chance to delve into the Rebbe’s words and refocus as they get ready to gather with thousands of shluchim from around the world at this year’s international Kinus.
Hosted by Chabad of Côte S.-Luc, headed by Rabbi Mendel Raskin, the Kinus began with the shluchim studying the sicha of 5752 together, led by the senior shluchim of the area, including Montreal Head Shliach Rabbi Berel Mochkin.
Following the study, the shluchim sat down for a farbrengen and melave malka, where the older shluchim related their memories of the how the annual Kinus Hashluchim would take place in the Rebbe’s presence, and especially the unique Kinus of 5752.
