This summer, Camp Gan Menachem of Montreal launched an engaging new Hilchos Beis Habechirah program with weekly worksheets, 3D videos, and exciting rewards. Over fifty boys were honored at a grand award ceremony for their dedication and achievement.

This summer, Camp Gan Menachem, Montreal’s Cheder Camp, launched for the first time an innovative learning program focused on Hilchos Beis Habechirah, designed for boys ages eight and up. Created and led by Camp Learning Director Mendy Berkowitz, this exciting and competitive learning program aimed to educate the boys throughout the summer about the Halochos of the Beis Hamikdash.

In line with the Rebbe’s emphasis on learning about the Beis Hamikdash during the “Three Weeks,” the boys received weekly multiple-choice Beis Habechirah worksheets with each week focusing on the different sections of the Beis Hamikdash. In order for the boys to answer the questions, towards the end of learning class, the Rebbi would show a captivating 3D Beis Hamikdash video explaining in great detail the entirety of the Beis Hamikdash. As the boys watched the video, paying close attention to the details presented, they simultaneously filled out the answers on their worksheets.

“Seeing the boys having a Koch and being involved in learning about the Beis Hamikdash definitely brought the Rebbe tremendous Nachas”, says on-site camp director, Rabbi Shmuel Vaisfiche.

Throughout the summer, the boys worked diligently to complete all their weekly worksheets, and at the end of each week, the completed worksheets were collected. As a reward for their efforts, the boys received special Rebbe pictures to add to their personal “Camp Rebbe Albums.”

In total, by the end of the summer, over fifty boys had committed to successfully answering sixty detailed questions pertaining to the Halachos of the Beis Hamikdash.

To celebrate their achievements, a grand award ceremony was held, where the boys received special certificates.
