After six months of learning, growing, and living Bitachon, the Mivtza Trust program run by the YC Shluchim 5785 reached its breathtaking climax on Monday Night, 24 Av—and Werdiger Hall was ready. With a crowd that packed the venue, the atmosphere was electric from the moment the doors opened. This wasn’t just an event. It was a celebration of transformation.
The night kicked off with a thrilling entrance by the emcee, setting the tone with a fire of energy. It set the stage for a night that Melbourne will never forget.
Before the festivities took full flight, the room paused for a moment of depth. Having in mind our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel, as well as the hostages (they should be released today! Amen), Rabbi Elisha Greenbaum, Dean of Yeshiva College–Beth Rivkah, led the crowd in a heartfelt kappitel Tehillim, grounding the evening in gratitude and spiritual purpose.
The gameshow segment was pure adrenaline. With bonus questions, dramatic twists, and a nail-biting finale, the crowd was on edge. The final showdown round ended in a tie of 400 points each, leading to a bonus question. One contestant got the final question half-right—forcing a sudden-death round that had everyone holding their breath. In the end, the House of Reuven emerged victorious, earning roaring applause and eternal bragging rights.
In the middle of all the excitement, a powerful video of the Rebbe was played. In a conversation with David Mintz, CEO of Toffuti, the Rebbe told him to learn Shaar Habitachon as the antidote to his worries about financial success. The Rebbe often encouraged people to learn Shaar Habitachon.
The top scorers of the year were honored with bronze, silver, and gold trophies—three of each, handed out with pride and fanfare. Rabbi Menachem Lipskier (Chabad Youth Melbourne) Rabbi Yudi Green (Head of School), and the Emcee were there to hand them out.
The boys who achieved the top scores in Mivtza Trust were: Reuven Abenaim, Benny Gerschman, Tuvya Gerschman, Levi Glasman, Meir Greenbaum, Aryeh Kirshenbaum, Yossi Nathanson, Zalman Rosenbaum, and Sender Yudasin
Yossi Rodal Live:
Then came the concert. Yossi Rodal took the stage and lit up the room with an unforgettable performance. The climax? A live rendition of the Trust. song that was composed by the YC Shluchim together with Yossi. It had the entire hall singing about trusting in Hashem, word for word. It was electric.
129 Certificates, One Shared Journey
Lastly, 129 boys of Yeshivah College who completed Shaar Habitachon were called up to receive their certificates. Each certificate was a reminder that trust in Hashem is not just learned – it’s lived.
The feedback from people at the end of the event was incredible. To quote one person, “Don’t think I’ve ever been to a better school event over the last 25 years than this Trust event”. Everyone walked away from the event inspired to learn more about trusting in Hashem.
We give you all a blessing that you carry the trust you’ve built into every corner of your life. May you always feel the confidence that Hashem is right next to you with every step you take. May you keep all the lessons you learned close to you. And may you remember—Hashem always does what’s best for you. Keep trusting. Keep growing. And know that you’re never alone.
Trust.
