Mrs. Miriam Mintz, dedicated educator and wife of activist Rabbi Mendel Mintz who organized large unity events in Crown Heights, passed away on Thursday, 4 Av.

Mrs. Miriam Mintz, dedicated educator and wife of activist Rabbi Mendel Mintz who organized large unity events in Crown Heights, passed away on Thursday, 4 Av.

Miriam was a beloved educator for over ten years in her hometown of Baltimore, before she met and married Rabbi Mendel Mintz of Crown Heights, who is known for the large-scale achdus events he has organized on Eastern Parkway in honor of special days.

Miriam was moser nefesh in her efforts to build a Jewish family. She underwent a fertility procedure earlier this week which led to complications and tragically to her passing today.

They were devoted to the Rebbe’s Shlichus, and this year on Gimmel Tammuz, were appointed as Shluchim to Pasadena and Glen Burnie, Maryland under Rabbi Nochum Light and with the assistance of Head Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan.

She is survived by her parents Rabbi Gershon and Elisheva Fink.

The Levaya will begin at 9:15 am in Baltimore at TA —Talmudical Academy of Baltimore, where Miriam taught, address: 4445 Old Court Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208.

It will then continue to 770, Lubavitch World Headquarters at 3:00 pm. The Kevurah will take place near the Rebbe’s Ohel at 4:00 pm.

  1. i was honored to meet Miriam at her wedding. i pray her soul will rest in peace and that god will watch over her. she was a “Lady of Honor” and a beloved wife and partner to Rabbi Mendel Mintz.
