Chief Rabbi of Russia and shliach, Rabbi Berel Lazar, farbrenged Sunday night with hundreds of English-speaking bochurim from the Mir in honor of Yud-Tes Kislev, sharing warm divrei hisorerus and words of guidance.

The farbrengen was part of the nightly Chassidus chabura organized by Maayan Menachem, which brings hundreds of bochurim from the Mir together for learning chassidus and farbrengens.

Situated near Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, Maayan Menachem draws dozens of bochurim each night -bochurim from across Yerushalayim who are not learning in a Lubavitch yeshiva but who are eager to drink from the wellsprings of Chassidus in a serious manner.

The Chabura is led by Rabbi Betzalel Kleinman, originally from Boro Park and now a mashpia at the Mayanot Institutions for Jewish Studies. Along with the nightly learning, the Chabura offers a steady flow of shiurim and farbrengens. Over the past three years, more than one hundred bochurim have integrated the study of Chassidus into their lives through Maayan Menachem’s efforts.

Founded on Gimmel Tammuz 5780, Maayan Menachem has blossomed into a beacon of Chassidic learning and connection for American bochurim and yungeleit spending the year in Eretz Yisroel. Inspired by the Rebbe’s call to spread the wellsprings of Chassidus without distinction between background and community, Maayan Menachem embarked on a mission that has significantly impacted the Chassidic landscape.

Maayan Menachem has grown into a vibrant center of Chassidus for the hundreds of American bochurim and yungeleit learning in Yerushalayim. The mosad runs a strong nightly Chassidus kollel, steady shiurim for both men and women, regular farbrengens, and uplifting Shabbosim.

Each summer, many participants continue their growth at Gan Yisroel L’Bnei Hayeshivos in Kfar Chabad, where they enjoy a full Chassidishe experience from early-morning Seder Chassidus through a Chassidishe Krias Shema and everything in between.

Maayan Menachem, located in the Beis Yosef Chabad shul on Rechov Yoel 3 in Beis Yisroel near the Mir, has become a central hub for American and European bochurim. With a full library of sifrei Chassidus, Yoma Depagra farbrengens, and an annual Shabbaton, it has grown into the go to destination for anyone seeking real Chassidus in Yerushalayim, a warm Chassidishe family for bochurim, yungeleit, and their wives.
