A Chassidishe Farbrengen is a medley of soul-searching songs and uplifting talks. The conundrum was how to make a Chassidishe intimate gathering meaningful to the whole tapestry of the broader Chicagoland Jewish community.

The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, Illinois, recently hosted an uplifting Chassidishe Farbrengen titled “Melodies and Meaning”. This special event, organized by Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois together with area Shluchim brought together nearly 800 participants from across Chicagoland’s diverse Jewish community in honor of the Rebbe.

Shulem Lemmer and his soul-stirring voice combined with the ageless wit and wisdom of YouTube’s most popular Rabbi, and timeless sage Rabbi Manis Friedman was the perfect blend to inspire and uplift. The Cheder Lubavitch Boys Choir, under the leadership of Rabbi Mendel Moscowitz, sang with Shulem, much to the crowds’ delight.

The participants left inspired and invigorated to follow the Rebbe’s enduring charge to do all that you can do to bring Moshiach Now!
